Ness Farms is a family-owned business started over thirty-five years ago by Eugene and Sandy Ness of Estancia, NM. Initially, the farm was used for growing Pinto Beans, Silage Corn, and Alfalfa. What’s more, it provided a great place for raising their two sons and daughter who, through the years, have contributed their skills to the ongoing development of the farm. Over the last twenty-five years, Ness Farms also began growing pumpkins for the wholesale market. And due to popular demand for the public to pick their own pumpkins direct from the field, Ness Farms opened "THE HAPPY LIL' PUMPKIN Stand” located south of Estancia on HWY 41, where it continued for nearly twenty years. Today, Ness Farms continues to produce and distribute its primary crop of high-quality, fresh Pinto Beans to farmers’ markets and restaurants in Albuquerque and the surrounding areas.
